Warnings, sounds, and expiration alerts
Alerts in Remote Timers are desk-side: the hub highlights timers as they approach zero based on your warning threshold (5 minutes by default), flashes the row and can play a sound when one expires, and can auto-reset the alert after a delay. Guest-facing displays stay silent and simply show the expired state — staff know first.
Set your warning threshold
Choose how many seconds before zero a timer should change color on the hub — default is 300 seconds (5 minutes). That's your window to offer an extension or prep the next group.
Pick an expiration sound
Enable the expiration sound and pick from the built-in options so the desk hears the moment a session ends, even when nobody's watching the screen.
Enable visual alerting and auto-reset
The expiring row flashes on the hub until you stop the alert — or enable auto-reset with a delay so lanes clear themselves between groups on busy nights.
Common questions
Do guests hear the expiration sound?
No — sounds play on your hub dashboard only. The public display shows a clear expired state but stays silent, which keeps rooms and services interruption-free.
Can each timer have its own warning threshold?
The warning threshold and alert settings are hub-wide, applying to all your timers consistently.
